Arriving soon: The Bump

So we're halfway through week 11 and I'm pretty sure I'm going to start showing soon. My clothes are getting a bit tighter (i.e. I can't breathe) but the scale's not moving much...so I guess that's Baby Galle trying to make its presence known to the rest of the world! I feel like it's a little early to be showing but I guess everyone's different. I still haven't experienced too much nausea....just still really tired. And, at this point, I'm hoping the chance of morning sickness setting in is 0%!

Over the last few weeks, we've cleared out the spare bedroom (minus the treadmill, which I'm proud to report is being used daily!) and picked out paint so I'm pretty excited about getting rid of the burnt orange walls and beginning the transformation to a nursery! Our next doctor's appointment is February 2nd so we'll be posting an update and a new ultrasound picture soon!

Baby Galle Goes to the Doctor

Our first doctor's appointment was Thursday, so we braved the wind and cold and drove to Bryan. The visit went well...everything seems to be progressing as it should. The ultrasound was absolutely amazing and we were able to briefly hear the heartbeat, at which point I turned into a blubbering fool!

Week 8 ended with some pretty nasty indigestion and I don't look forward to 32 more weeks of it...but I know that it'll all be worth it in August!

If anyone can recommend a good therapist.....

The Galles are expanding....

Hello friends and family! I'm going to try my hand at this blog thing so we can keep everyone up-to-date with what's going on....
So, to start....we found out at 6AM on December 11th that, after 4 months of wedded bliss, we're going to be parents! We're very excited, as is the rest of our family (with the possible exception of our 2 lively dachshunds, Cooper and Daphne!) The grandparents have already taken names: Luly and Grandaddy for the Dixons....G-Ma and G-Pa for the Galles! And Aunt Gigi and Aunt Cookie have given Baby Galle its first clothes....see picture above!

The first 7 weeks went pretty well....just tired. Week 8 has dawned with a little bit of nausea but nothing I can't handle. I've decided that if I can handle 85 13 and 14 year olds on a daily basis, I can handle most anything (I hope)! My first doctor's appointment is Thursday....so stay tuned!
